Ryan Davis On Why Your Influence Matters, Winning Votes for Democrats Through Everyday Actions

While technically this is not a political podcast - there is no disputing that marketing and politics go hand in hand. No candidate is going to win in today’s media environment without a solid marketing strategy and understanding of who influences whom. While Joanne’s own political views are no secret to anyone who knows her, listens to this podcast or follows her on social media, she has steered away from diving deep here.

But not today.

As someone who is terrified at the possibility of a second Trump term, Joanne is also not one to stew in helplessness. She knows her vote is important, but she knew she wanted to do more.

So when Ryan Davis, Co-founder and COO of People First shared on LinkedIn that he was doing a talk entitled Your Influence Matters, Winning Votes For Democrats Through Everyday Actions, Joanne immediately sent him an email to see if he was interested in making a return appearance on the podcast to talk about the small actions every one of us can take.

The result is this episode in which Ryan offers his advice on:

  • using your influence on social media

  • dealing with the trolls

  • how not to feed them and why

  • focusing on educating on the issues

  • the importance of being thoughtful in our social media conversations

  • why we should all listen to Lincoln’s advice

Note: All of Ryan’s advice focuses on the positive!
